No phone line is required for your wireless Internet connection. That's because the outdoor equipment or CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) connects to one of our towers via an RF connection instead of a wired phone connection. This connection is not limited like a telephone connection rate is. The Cat5 cable that connects the CPE to your computer or router is slightly larger than phone line wiring. Power for the CPE is sent up this same cable so the installation is very neat. This equipment operates on microwave frequencies and requires line-of-site between the CPE and our tower. Even tree leaves can deflect the signal and cause problems. Once properly aligned the connection is very reliable and is always on and ready to go. There is no dialing to log in, this is handled by the CPE which is actually a small computer with ethernet and wireless interfaces integrated into a flat panel antenna.

No, rain and Fog does not effect your connection.
• Is the antenna big and ugly?
No, the flat panel antenna CPEs range in size from 10" X 13" to 14" X 16". The long range grid antennas are quite a bit larger.
• Do I need to pay extra for an ISP when I sign up for Martineer.Net Wireless High-Speed Internet?
No, your high-speed connection to the internet and the ISP service are included in each of the connection packages.
• What will my e-mail address be if I use Martineer.Net Wireless Internet?
Martineer.Net e-mail accounts end with '@martineer.net'. Your e-mail address would be something like 'JohnDoe@martineer.net' or 'WhateverYouWant@martineer.net'.
• Can I get more than one e-mail address?
Each account includes up to 3 primary e-mail addresses and an unlimited number of aliases. Aliases are other e-mail addresses that are delivered to the primary e-mail address mailboxes.
• If I start with the slower plan now will I have to pay to upgrade to a faster plan?
No, the antenna/radio that is mounted on your house will support any of the speeds available and we do not charge an extra fee to upgrade service plans.
• Can I hook up more than one computer or use my laptop with a wireless connection.
Hooking up more than one computer requires a router. You can use your own router or we can sell you one. Wired routers are $30.00 and wireless routers are $40 installed and configured
• Can I use my wireless laptop anywhere in your service area.
No, you must be in range of your wireless router at your home that is connected to the CPE.
• Why is it called Martineer.Net and not HaroldsHighSpeedWirelessInternetService.com ?
